The nexMPI COST Action (CA23132) is pleased to announce the upcoming WG3 Graduate & Postgraduate Student Symposium 2026, dedicated to Magnetic Nanoparticles (MNPs) as Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) Tracer Materials.
The online symposium will take place on Wednesday, 4 November 2026, at 14:00 CET, bringing together PhD students and early-career researchers to present their latest research and developments in magnetic nanoparticle design, characterization, and biomedical applications.
The programme features eight presentations covering a broad range of topics, including relaxation-engineered MPI tracers, multifunctional magnetic nanoparticles, temperature mapping, nanoparticle synthesis, and advanced imaging applications in neuroinflammation and oncology.
Each participant will deliver a 7-minute presentation followed by a 3-minute Q&A session, providing an opportunity for scientific exchange, constructive feedback, and discussion.
A distinguished scientific jury will evaluate the presentations and select the recipient of the Best Presentation Award. The jury consists of:
- Prof. Puerto Morales Herrero, ICMM-CSIC
- Prof. Ali Abou-Hassan, Sorbonne Université
- Dr. Niccolò Silvestri, IIT
The symposium aims to highlight emerging research within the MPI community, encourage scientific dialogue, and support the professional development of the next generation of researchers.
