Advances in Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) and Its Preclinical Applications
As part of the nexMPI Webinar Series, we are pleased to announce our upcoming webinar taking place on 9 February 2026, titled “Advances in Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) and Its Preclinical Applications“.
The webinar will be delivered by Xin Feng, Associate Professor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Dr. Feng is a promising young researcher in medical imaging with a strong focus on advancing innovative technologies in Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI). Her work spans both fundamental developments and practical preclinical applications of MPI, contributing to the rapid evolution of this emerging modality.
She is a recipient of the Beijing Science and Technology New Star award and serves as a Committee Member of the Youth Working Committee of the Chinese Society for Stereology. Dr. Feng holds three authorized U.S. invention patents and five authorized Chinese invention patents, has contributed to the formulation of one MPI group standard, and has published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers in leading journals, including Science Advances and IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging.
In this webinar, Dr. Feng will present recent advances in MPI technology and highlight its growing role in preclinical research, offering insights into current challenges, novel solutions, and future directions.
We warmly invite researchers, students, clinicians, and all stakeholders interested in Magnetic Particle Imaging and biomedical imaging to join this session.
