We are pleased to share further details about the upcoming Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) Training School, which will take place from 17 to 19 June 2025 at the Center for Advanced Preclinical Imaging (CAPI), First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, Prague.
This three-day event is designed to provide participants with a balanced mix of theoretical knowledge and hands-on training in MPI, a cutting-edge imaging modality with growing relevance in preclinical and clinical applications.
Topics to be presented include:
- Basic principles of MPI: physics and underlying technology
- Image reconstruction techniques and algorithms
- Magnetic nanoparticles: properties and synthesis
- Pre-clinical and clinical applications of MPI
- Practical, hands-on sessions in the CAPI lab
Confirmed instructors:
- Luděk Šefc, CAPI, Charles University, Prague
- Vít Herynek, CAPI, Charles University, Prague
- Martin Duša, CAPI, Charles University, Prague
- Ondřej Kaman, Institute of Physics, Czech Academy of Sciences
- Michal Babič, Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry, Czech Academy of Sciences
- Jochen Franke, Bruker, Germany
- Frank Wiekhorst, Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), Berlin, Germany
- Olaf Kosch, PTB, Berlin, Germany
- David Trease, Magnetic Insight, USA
Application process:
Interested participants are kindly requested to submit their application forms to Dr. Sofia Lima.
We encourage early application due to limited lab capacity for the hands-on sessions.
Stay tuned for further updates!
